Ryegrass

Annual Ryegrass (Lolium multiflorum L.) is a cool-season annual grass with types that are adapted to both turf (lawn) uses and to forage and feed uses.

Perennial Ryegrass (Lolium perenne L.) is a cool-season perennial grass that is valued for it's high digestibility; therefore, it is considered the premiere grass species for use in pastures, hay, and silage. There also are turf types of perennial ryegrass that are included in grass seed mixtures, where they provide additional density to the resulting turf.
