Corn Silage

Corn silage is made from special varieties of corn that produce a high tonnage of feed per acre. As the plants mature and begin to dry down in the fall, they are chopped and stored in upright silos - concrete bunkers or plastic bags. The feed is then preserved by natural fermentation and fed throughout the year to beef and dairy cattle.
